Co-Chair, IAPP Norway KnowledgeNet
The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) is the largest global information privacy community, and its KnowledgeNet chapters connect local practitioners in privacy, data protection, and - increasingly - AI governance. The Norway chapter brings together professionals working across GDPR, privacy, and the emerging EU AI Act framework.
Founder Benjamin Zamble co-chairs IAPP Norway. The role involves organising events, setting the chapter's programme, and building connections between practitioners, regulators, and organisations navigating AI and data governance in the Norwegian market.

Relevance
AI governance in Norway sits at the intersection of GDPR maturity and a new regulatory layer under the EU AI Act. Practitioners are largely figuring out implementation together, in real time - there's limited established practice to draw on yet. A community like IAPP Norway gives that work somewhere to happen: shared learning, direct access to people building the same frameworks from different angles, and a channel for regulatory developments to reach practitioners faster than through formal channels alone.
